War base vs farming base: which layout should you choose?

Start with what you want to protect. Then compare layouts for your Town Hall, rather than picking a screenshot because it looks complicated.

Choose by purpose

War base: Start here when choosing a layout for clan war. Compare access to the Town Hall and defenses, compartment connections and possible troop routes. Ask clanmates to test the layout and describe the army they used.
Farming base: Start here when resource protection is your priority. Inspect storage distribution and the routes to the resources you are saving. Check the layout against your actual village, including defenses currently being upgraded.

A five-step comparison checklist

Match your Town Hall. Open a collection for your current level and check the buildings shown in each screenshot.
Choose one priority. Decide whether you are comparing war layouts or farming layouts before judging the arrangement.
Inspect the layout. Compare storage placement, defensive coverage, compartments and likely entry routes. A screenshot cannot verify hidden traps or prove a defensive win rate.
Read the source and feedback. Open the credited creator source for context. Treat community ratings as opinions. Comments describing an attack and result are more useful than an unexplained star rating.
Copy, review and test. Open the official copy link on your game device, review the imported layout and test it before relying on it. Keep notes about what worked and what you changed.

Compare two layouts with your clan

Share the layout links and ask a specific question: “Which of these makes my storages easier to reach?” or “Which entry would you use against this war base?” Include your Town Hall and goal. Record the army, entry side and result when reporting a test; avoid treating one defense as proof that a base is best.
